Refund & Cancellation Policy
Last updated: 1 Sept. 2026
This Refund & Cancellation Policy sets out the terms and procedures for cancelling, modifying, or rescheduling bookings made through the Travel of Dreams Platform. This Policy should be read together with our Refund Policy and Terms and Conditions.
Cancellation terms vary depending on the type of booking, the time at which the cancellation is made, and the policies of any Third-Party Supplier involved. The specific terms applicable to your booking will be clearly displayed before you complete payment and confirmed in your booking confirmation.
1. General Principles
- Refund & Cancellations must be submitted in writing (email).
- The cancellation date is the date on which we receive your written cancellation request.
- Verbal cancellations are not valid and do not stop cancellation charges from accruing.
- Cancellation charges are calculated as a percentage of the total booking value or as a fixed fee, as specified in the applicable schedule below.
- Non-refundable bookings cannot be cancelled for a refund under any circumstances, except in the event of Travel of Dreams-initiated cancellation or as required by applicable law.
2. How to Cancel a Booking
1. By Email
Send a cancellation request to support@travelofdreams.in with your booking reference number, the name of the lead traveller, travel dates, and the reason for cancellation. We will acknowledge your request within 24 hours.
2. By Phone
Call our customer support team at +91-XXXXXXXXXX (available 9 AM – 8 PM IST, Monday to Saturday). Please note that telephone cancellation requests must be followed up in writing to be treated as valid.
3. Cancellation by the Customer — Holiday Packages
The following cancellation fees apply to holiday packages arranged by Travel of Dreams. Fees are calculated as a percentage of the total package cost:

All cancellation fees are subject to GST at the applicable rate. Non-refundable elements such as airline tickets, third-party activity bookings, or visa fees will be deducted from any refund in addition to the cancellation fee above.
4. Cancellation by the Customer — Hotel Bookings
1. Refundable Hotel Bookings
For hotel reservations with a refundable or free-cancellation rate, the following terms apply:
- Cancellation before the hotel’s free cancellation deadline: no charge; full refund.
- Cancellation after the free cancellation deadline but before check-in: cancellation fee as specified in the hotel’s policy displayed at booking (typically 1 night’s room rate or a percentage of the total stay).
- No-show (failure to arrive without prior notice): the full booking amount is forfeited.
- Early departure after check-in: unused nights are generally not refunded. Contact us and we will approach the hotel to request a discretionary refund.
2. Non-Refundable Hotel Bookings
Non-refundable hotel rates (prepaid or special promotional rates) are not eligible for any refund regardless of when the cancellation is made. These bookings may not be cancelled or modified.
3. Modification Instead of Cancellation
Some hotel bookings may allow date changes or modifications in lieu of cancellation. Where permitted by the hotel, modification fees may apply. Please contact us at least 5 days before the check-in date to enquire.
5. Cancellation Initiated by Travel of Dreams
1. Cancellation by Us
We reserve the right to cancel a confirmed booking in the following circumstances:
- Force Majeure events (as defined in our Terms and Conditions).
- Inability to secure confirmed supplier arrangements for the booked services.
- Non-payment or failed payment by the customer.
- Discovery of fraudulent activity or misrepresentation in relation to the booking.
- Safety or security concerns at the destination that make travel inadvisable.
2. Notice and Remedies
Where we cancel a booking (other than due to your default or Force Majeure), we will:
Provide written notice as soon as possible.
- Offer an alternative booking of equivalent or higher quality where available.
- Process a full refund of all amounts paid to us within 10 business days if no suitable alternative is accepted.
We are not liable for indirect losses such as independently booked flights or pre-arranged activities.
6. Cancellation Initiated by the Hotel or Supplier
Hotels and other Third-Party Suppliers occasionally cancel confirmed reservations in exceptional circumstances. In such cases:
- We will notify you immediately upon receiving notice from the supplier.
- We will make every reasonable effort to source a comparable alternative.
- If no suitable alternative is found or accepted, we will arrange a full refund of the cancelled hotel booking within 10 business days.
- We are not responsible for any additional expenses you incur as a result of a supplier-initiated cancellation.
7. No-Shows
A ‘no-show’ occurs when you fail to arrive at the hotel or departure point on the scheduled date without having submitted a prior cancellation request.
- For hotel bookings: the hotel will charge you for the full booking or a specified portion according to its no-show policy.
- For holiday packages: 100% of the package cost will be forfeited.
- No refund is applicable for no-shows.
- If you are delayed due to circumstances beyond your control (such as a flight cancellation), please contact us immediately on our emergency helpline at [+91-XXXXXXXXXX] so that we can attempt to assist.
8. Late Cancellations
A cancellation is treated as a ‘late cancellation’ if made within 48 hours of the scheduled arrival or departure time. Late cancellations incur the maximum cancellation fee (typically 100% of the booking cost for packages and as specified by the hotel for hotel bookings). We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unavoidable last-minute cancellations.
9. Rescheduling and Date Changes
1. Holiday Packages
Requests to change travel dates on a confirmed holiday package are treated as a combination of cancellation and rebooking. The following terms apply:
- Date change requests received 30 or more days before departure may be accommodated subject to availability and may incur a rescheduling fee of [fixed or % of package cost].
- Date change requests received fewer than 30 days before departure will be treated as a cancellation of the original booking (with applicable cancellation fees) and a new booking for the revised dates.
- Price differences between the original package and the revised booking dates will be payable by you.
2. Hotel Bookings
Date changes for hotel bookings are subject to the individual hotel’s modification policy, as displayed at the time of booking. Some non-refundable rates do not permit any changes.
10. Modifications to Bookings
1. Changes to Passenger / Guest Details
Name corrections (minor typographical errors) may be made free of charge by contacting us prior to travel. Requests to change a lead traveller name entirely may be treated as a cancellation and new booking.
2. Room or Package Upgrades / Downgrades
Requests to upgrade or downgrade the room type or package tier are subject to availability. Upgrades will require payment of the price difference. Downgrades may not be available on non-refundable rates and may attract a modification fee.
11. Group Booking Cancellations
Group bookings are subject to separate cancellation and deposit terms agreed at the time of booking. These terms will be set out in a separate group booking agreement. Please contact support@travelofdreams.in for details.
12. Force Majeure Cancellations
Where travel is cancelled or curtailed due to a Force Majeure event (including government-declared travel bans, natural disasters, or public health emergencies), the following approach applies:
- Travel of Dreams will not charge its own cancellation fees.
- Refunds or credits from suppliers will be passed to you in full.
- Where suppliers offer travel credits rather than cash refunds, we will present this option to you.
- We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover scenarios where supplier refunds are unavailable.
Please note that travel advisories and government guidance alone do not automatically entitle you to a refund if you choose not to travel. Force Majeure provisions apply where travel is objectively impossible or prohibited.
13. Travel Insurance — Our Recommendation
Travel insurance is not included in any Travel of Dreams package unless explicitly stated. We can provide referrals to insurance providers on request.
14. Cancellation of Promotional or Discounted Bookings
Bookings made under promotional rates, early-bird offers, last-minute deals, or discount codes may be subject to stricter cancellation terms or may be fully non-refundable. The specific terms applicable to any promotional booking will be clearly stated at the time of booking.
15. Contact for Cancellation Requests
Email: support@travelofdreams.in
Phone: +91-XXXXXXXXXX (Customer Support Hours: 9 AM – 8 PM IST)
16. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cancellation Policy periodically. Changes will apply to bookings made after the updated Policy’s effective date. Bookings confirmed prior to an update will be governed by the Policy in force at the time of booking.
